TENNESSEE SECOND SESSION OF THE 106TH GENERAL ASSEMBLY

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 55, Chapter 50, Part 3, relative to the issuance of driver licenses.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE:

SECTION 1. Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 55-50-322, is amended by adding the following new subsection thereto:

(j) All written examinations administered to applicants for a driver license or intermediate driver license shall be in English only.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 2010, the public welfare requiring it.
