Congressman Michael Turner became a co-sponsor of H.R. 997 yesterday, representing the fourth representative this month to support legislation to make English the official language of the United States. The support of Rep. Turner brings the total number of co-sponsors of the English Language Unity Act to 118.

Rep. Turner is in his fourth term representing the Third Congressional District of Ohio. A dedicated supporter of official English legislation, Congressman Turner was also a co-sponsor of H.R. 997 in the 108th, 109th and 110th Congresses. He was honored with an “A in English” Award from U.S. English in 2008.
